I am crossing off “close up” to kick off my first entry of 2023. Here’s what I saw from a greater distance, just meltwater and ice warming in the winter sun.

A bunny? Okay, in the bottom picture I see it. That ice was smooth and distorted like a failure in a glassblower’s shop. What was cool was the water pulsing inside the twisted chambers. I think that icicle formed by water dropping and freezing as it ricocheted upwards.
