  1. D. you got me with the alliteration of your words: peridot rills rush. And, “pearled river” is about as beautiful as a description as I can imagine. You captured that white glare of snow clouds reflected in the water. This is so good. ❤

    • Peridot is my birthstone too, and the color of the ice in the river earlier when it was cracking and heaving. The temps dropped again and stopped all that, and fresh snow has blanketed the peridot slabs of ice. The spring greening will return soon.
